8 DECADES LATER

Cadets, staff and guests recently celebrated the 80th birthday of the Squadrons longest serving CI, Ted Morris.
CI Morris, who had no idea the event had been organised, was greeted by old
friends, family and a slideshow of his ATC career.
He was later presented with a ‘this is your life’ book, signed by current and ex
cadets whose lives he had touched.
CI Amy Rosindale who organised the event said: “I really wanted something to sum up Mr Morris’ time with the Squadron in a form that he could take away and treasure forever, I’m thrilled that he enjoyed the evening.”
Mr Morris was also treat to a buffet complete with champagne which was provided by the Civilian Committee.
Final parade was marked with a surprise firework display which was donated by Impact Technical.
The evening was complete when Mr Morris took centre stage to deliver a speech
expressing his gratitude.
He later proceeded to write a letter of thanks to everyone for his exciting
