WHAT DID YOU DO LAST WEEKEND?

The Squadron PR team
branched out into schools this month to spread the word of the unit to pupils
around Sunderland.
The team, which is led by CI Yeo, visited both Thornhill school and Sunderland
High.
Armed with high impact presentations and leaflets, the team asked pupils: ‘What
did you do last weekend?’.
CWO Smith, who spoke at the presentations said: “It was great to go back to my
old school and tell them what I’d been up to and what they could get out of the
Corps, it felt good to be giving something back to the Squadron and was my last
official PR event before I leave for University.”
The team were met with positive reviews from teachers and pupils alike and have
been invited back to continue spreading the word of the Corps.
CI Yeo said: “It’s great to be able to deliver a presentation in a school
assembly or citizenship session, it’s a good way to get across all the great and
exciting activities that we do, the team always perform brilliantly and they are
an asset to the Squadron.”
More visits and sessions are planned for the near future with the team branching
into more schools and communities across Sunderland.
