AIR CADETS TAKE TO THE SKIES
Cadets from 111 Squadron are flying around the world to raise money for the Royal Air Force Association.
10 Cadets are venturing around the world in the units flight simulator to help RAFA with its annual fundraising campaign; "Wings Appeal". The appeal is used to generate the vital funds needed to facilitate Welfare Support to those members of the RAF Family that are in need.
The RAF Association has strong links with the Air Cadet Organization and cadets from 111 Squadron are always eager to help out in their fundraising activities.
The sponsored flight, which involves legs of up to 4 hours, could take up to 1 week to complete and the cadets are working hard to make the sponsored event a success.
Sergeant Victoria Armstrong, 18, who had the idea for the event said: "We always like to do our bit for RAFA, but this time we thought this flight would raise more than just collecting in the town centre".
