About 111 Squadron

(The links below this article provide even more information!)

111 Squadron was founded in 1941 and is still going strong.

Parading eager and ambitious cadets is just a part of what 111 Squadron is all about.

The HQ itself with its own Canteen, Flight Simulator and Radio room is not the only place the cadets see.

With regular trips to RAF bases, Museums aswell as exciting exercises and camps 111 Squadron gives young people more things to do, Flying and Gliding slots are also available.

One things certain, 111 Cadets are rarely bored!

With Cadets wanting to do well and trying their best, 111 Squadron has won the Lees Trophy (the trophy for the best SQN in the UK) in 1994 and tries for the award each and every year!

111 prides itself on its very own Flight Simulator. Based on the Canberra T17 the SIM flies a crew of 3 (Pilot, Navigator and RADAR operator) in a realistic environment. The simulator also has its own Air Traffic Control station, incorporating the ability to add extra aircraft which ultimately gives cadets a head start in aviation and the RAF.

and the cost of all this?

£8 Subs per Month covers all activities throughout your time in Cadets and even gets you your uniform!
