AIRSHOW FUNDRAISING FOR CADETS

CADETS and staff from 111 Sunderland Squadron ATC raised £2300 at the Sunderland International Airshow.

111 has run a stall at the Airshow since it started in 1988 but raised its largest amount ever this year.

The squadron runs a popular bottle tom bola, sells plants and offers photo opportunities in their ejector seat to raise the vital funds. Everyone who takes part, including the civilian committee works extremely hard over the two days.

Commanding Officer Flight Lieutenant Peter Dixon RAFVR (T) said “I’m over the moon with the effort that the squadron makes at the Airshow. We all work hard but its well worth it in the end.”

The money raised at the Airshow was spent on replacing the cadet’s disco equipment and trophy cabinet as well as buying a new projector and laptop.
